Jeep Safari Biokovo adventure starts at 8.00 a.m., when we pick up you at a previously arranged location. We drive by vehicle over Adriatic road to village Old Podgora,Vrgorac, nature park Biokovo and highest top Sv. Jure. After the picnic we return to Makarska.
Jeep Safari Biokovo adventure starts at 8.00 a.m., when we pick up you at a previously arranged location. We drive by vehicle over Adriatic road to village Old Podgora, where we visit the church of All Saints from 1764., one of the oldest preserved churches under Biokovo. The path further leads us to the asphalt road to Vrgorac. In few minutes we are coming at the entrance of Nature park Biokovo. With the winding and highest asphalt road in Croatia, with occasional breaks, we reach the highest peak on Biokovo mountain – Sv. Jure. We visit the Chapel of Sv. Jure and enjoy the view of the central massif of Biokovo, as well as coastal part and hinderland. Returning to the shadows of the centuries-old pine trees in front of Mountaneering lodge Pod Vošcem we have a picnic. After visiting Biokovo mountain we continue through the Tučepi and Makarska villages. We descent the asphalt road to the Adriatic road and continue to the hotel where the guests situated. Through these five hours Jeep drive, we will visit villages under Biokovo, the mythical mountain of Biokovo that get out of the sea and find out where and how people lived in the past. This excursion is adjusted to all those who would like to get to know Makarska and Biokovo, but are not physically ready for long hiking. The excursion is organized on Wednesday and Saturday.
